FAQ 3 : Guide for Travel to Surakarta

Q : How do I get to Surakarta by plane?
A : If you plan your travel by airplane, then check your airport availability for a direct flight to Adi Sumarmo International Airport (SOC). There are several domestic routes :
Jakarta (one-hour trip)
Bali (one-hour trip; every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday)
and a direct international flight from Kuala Lumpur (two-hour trip; every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday)
Especially for Jakarta, there are up to 20 flights per day from Soekarno Hatta International Airport and Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport which are operated by Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, Lion Air, Batik Air, and Nam Air.

Q : How do I get to Surakarta by train?
A : If you take the train, then you should stop at Solo Balapan or Purwosari train station. Express trains serving Solo include Argo Lawu, Argo Dwipangga, Bima and Gajayana expresses (to/from Jakarta, all AC), Argo Wilis,Turangga and Lodaya (to/fromBandung), Argo Wilis,Turangga and Sancaka (to/from Surabaya).

Q : How do I get to Surakarta by bus?
A : If you take the bus, then you should stop at Terminal Tirtonadi (Tirtonadi Terminal). The Balapan Station and the Tirtonadi Bus Terminal located within the same vicinity, although not on adjacent to each other. There are regular services throughout the island, including Jakarta (10 hours) and Surabaya (5 hr). 

When you arrived at Adisoemarmo Airport, train stations or bus terminal you can take taxi or other public transportation to go to the venue (Best Western Solo). Especially for full accomondation delegates, when you arrived at Adisoemarmo Airport you will be picked up by our team, so do not forget to confirm the departure and your arrival time.
